September 23rd, 2021 FOATZ participated in the agroecological strategy meeting at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). The conference was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and welcomed various stakeholders. Farmers and pastoralists also attended the conference to give ideas on organic farming strategy.
We should note that the 2013 agricultural policy recognizes organic farming. Hence, the government decided to develop a national strategy to guide the government and other stakeholders to implement agricultural ecology. That is why the stakeholders were invited to participate in the conference and to give their views.
